WHAT WOULD BRYAN COUNTY DO WITHOUT UNITED WAY
Meals On Wheels- "Without UW, 30 to 60 needy seniors would go without a nutritional meal everyday, with some, the only meal of the day. UW is our only funding source."
Red River Special Olympics- "Without UW, would cease to provide a better quality of life for over 200 mentally and physically challenged children by providing outdoor activities plus a chance to participate in the Special Olympic Winter and Summer games."
RSVP- "Without UW, elderly citizens all over Bryan County could not get to medical appointments, pharmacy or the grocery store. RSVP volunteers are reimbursed for transporting our senior citizens to these appointments; they also assist with filling out difficult medical forms."
Durant Ministerial Alliance- "Without UW, prescriptions needed by the less fortunate, a bus ticket for a family emergency, even gas vouchers for travelers passing through the county and a utility bill to keep heat on for a senior citizen."
Big Five Transportation Services- "Without UW, would have to reduce critical transportation services currently being provided for people going to work, medical treatment, shopping, education, job training and other daily vital needs."
Bryan County CASA- "Without UW, our recruiting and training volunteers would come to a stop, we could not take a single new case. CASA has advocated for over 2,000 children from our county."
Bryan County Youth Services- "Without UW, Youth Services could not document community financial support for our Victims of Crime grant and would likely give up the counselor who works with the children."
